Clearfield Fair & Park Board Elects Officers; Attends Annual State Fair Convention

At a re-organizational meeting held on January 5, 2009, officers of the Clearfield Volunteer Fire Department Fair & Park Board were elected as follows: Manager Greg Hallstrom; President Dave Franson II; Vice President Rex Fink; Treasurer and State Fair Representative David Hallstrom; and Secretary Larry Bickel. The Board of Directors recently attended the 197th Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs Convention held in Hershey, PA, where they attended various seminars and discussions and scouted entertainment for the 2009 Fair.

At this year’s fair, the Expo II Plaza will feature something new and bring back an old favorite. Come see, touch and experience live stingrays at the world´s only traveling, self-contained Stingray Exhibit, complete with an educational video and audio presentation. Stingray barbs are removed and friendly staff will answer questions and keep curious little ones amazed. Then stop and visit the Circle C Petting Zoo & Animal Racing, a returning crowd favorite! Bates Amusements will return to the midway with an array of rides sure to please all ages and Full Pull Productions is returning with the Big Rigs.
